DemoCamps are an
opportunity to showcase all of the cool, new and interesting technology being
built by the Eclipse community. They are also an opportunity for you to meet
Eclipse enthusiasts in your city. The format of a DemoCamp is informal. A group
of Eclipse enthusiasts meets up and demos what they are doing with Eclipse.
The
demos can be from research projects, Eclipse open source projects, applications
based on Eclipse, commercial products using Eclipse or whatever may be of
interest to the attendees.

explained why it is important to focus on the performance of a product in it
very early stages.
The last one
was from our very own Tham S with “Java

viz “Lambda Expressions & Nashorn” and notable features in the core API
side viz “Stream API, “Type annotations Default methods in interface, &
Date Time API”. He also demonstrated code examples for the above features in
Luna. This session was the top rated technical session for the day.
Thanks to Sivasubramanian T for sponsoring “Healthy
code magazine” to all the participants.
The camp ended
with an exquisitely wide spread buffet over which eclipsers were networking
with others. The journey was a great experience for all of us. The overall
rating for the camp was 8/10 which showed
up in the feedback form filled in by the participants. Thanks to Vasu, Mahendran, Venkat, Falconz
